# Card Declined

To activate your Debit/Credit card, there are 2 necessary steps that MUST be done: \
\
1\. Activation from the bank's side \
2\. Activation from the card owner's side Both of these steps need to be completed to enable unrestricted international online transactions. \
\
**Step 1:** You need to call the bank and inform them that you want to activate international usage for your debit card. The bank might ask which international website or service you intend to use. You should honestly provide this information to avoid any issues. \
\
**Step 2:** The bank will ask you several questions to verify your identity. Make sure you have the answers ready. \
\
\&#xNAN;**- Your debit card number** \
**- Your name as it appears on your ID** \
**- Your ID card number** \
**- Your account number** \
**- The phone number registered with the bank** \
\
**Step 3:** Before the bank activates your debit card, they will read out the activation terms and conditions for your agreement. \
\
**Step 4:** Activation from the bank's side has been successful. Next is activation from your side. You only need to follow the steps provided by the bank. \
\
CONGRATULATIONS! Your international debit card line has been activated. \
\
**Step 5:** You can now proceed to make payments as you did before.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://tutorials.kuasa.io/getting-started/generals/accounts/card-declined.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
